The days are stuttering forward now, chunks of night chipped away each morning, daylight drawing longer each evening. I awake to new powder each morning it seems, still clutched in the talkned hand of winger, and the still-blue valley echoes this truth- the mountains won’t be green again until true Spring is here.
In light of health struggles and life trajectory shifts (then shifts again because sometimes it feels like I just can’t catch a break, herded by the universe towards who-knows-what), I have been working on new projects, one terrifyingly large but exhilarating, the rest fun and managable.
I am still farming though, but fewer hours, focusing instead on my creative spaces both internal and external. Launching at the end of this month is Beargrass, a quarterly collection of my works; be it writings, illustrations, poetry, or comics. I have been struggling for years to find a way to mesh all my interests and ways of seeing the world and I’m excited for this small journal to bring them all together.
I have also begun a small 100 Day Project, where each day I make a small painting of a dream I had the night nefore. It's been a great practice getting me to paint everyday and work towards remembering more of my dreams.
I cannot wait to share more of what I've been working on here again, social media management has always been a general struggle.
You can find daily updates on my other socials, linked on the main page.
Until next time, Sabrina
